Effective partnerships with revolutionary results
University College’s Applied Research Division provides a unique window-of-opportunity for partnering and creating innovative change that can collectively advance the interests of participating parties. Applied Research represents a blending of technology between science, engineering, business and human factors that address problems requiring global-based solutions while collaborating with clients.
Due to the comprehensive educational and extensive research capabilities of Florida Tech coupled with public and private sector interests and capabilities, University College looks forward to exploring diverse and powerful partnerships.
- addressing effective sustainable transportation systems using magnetic levitation (Maglev 2000)
- passive, but efficient surveillance technologies to protect the value of all containerized goods (Maritime Protective Services, Inc. and ATLAS)
- cyber security-based systems that ensure computer security systems for business and government (Cybersoft)
- wellness-related technologies designed to support athletic performance and injury prevention (MMR, Inc.)
- health-based natural food products designed to advance nutritional well-being (R & B Foods)
- university collaborations for creating intermodal transportation safety and security solutions to undue gridlock (UCITSS)
- space tourism to encourage sub-orbital and orbital commercial flight and training (Space Adventures)
Our faculty and staff understand the importance of pursuing collaborative initiatives and projects with clients from all sectors, both large and small.
Additionally, we are interested in pursuing intellectual property and patent opportunities through evaluation, management and marketing as by-products of these partnerships. Our mission is to assist in advancing societal solutions by pursuing those intellectual activities that also provide economic benefits to the participating partners.
